Explorers

Welcome Explorer Scouts and are in the age range 14 to 18 years. Technically they are now a district asset but the Blandford Explorers still meet on a Friday evening, usually at the scout hut. Caving We recently took part in a caving trip to the Mendips near Bristol. As you can see from the photos below, despite getting very muddy we were still smiling at the end of the evening.	Activities Explores take part in all manner of activity, from backwoods camping, to working as helpers within other sections on the group. We regularly participate in outdoor activities, including climbing and walking on Dartmoor, climbing at Swanage and completing the Duke of Edinbuough award. Below is a picture of us at this years St George's Day Prade. World Jamboree 2007 The 21st World Jamboree, which will take place next year in Essex, will celebrate 100 years of scouting. Four Explorer scouts from Blandford have been selected to go to the Jamboree. For more information click here.
