| Saturday |
The "Challenge" part of the
weekend is based around an 8 mile incident hike on the Saturday, during which
there are 8 checkpoints that need to be visited. At each checkpoint the team
must carry out an activity on which they are marked. The activities this year
consisted of rifle shooting, map reading, bridge building, camping skills,
abseiling, first aid, knots and mini Olympics.

Taking a break on the
hike The weather on the day was extremely hot and the team did well to
remain hydrated and to avoid getting sunburnt. Many teams found the conditions
too demanding and failed to complete the course, but Blandford persevered and
not only completed all the checkpoints, but did well at each one. |

| Sunday |
Sunday
morning was taken up participating in numerous activities including Laser Clay
Pigeon shooting (see below), Euro bungee, quad train, circus skills, and many
many more activities.

Someone MUST get the
clay!! At the closing ceremony on Sunday afternoon, prizes were awarded
for the best team at each base and also for the overall winners. Sitting
through the closing ceremony was exhausting due to the extreme heat, but
spirits were soon lifted when it was announced that
Blandford had won the overall competition.

The Winners
Congratulations to the whole team
in achieving this fantastic success - all your hard work has been
worthwhile.
